Before War: Upon arriving in Canada Mr. Muffitt was first employed by the late Donald A. Murray for a number of years, going then to British Columbia. Returning to Ontario and East Zorra 11th. Line, he was employed by Gordon Murray. He returned to B.C. about a year prior to the outbreak of the war.
Enlisted: Victoria. B.C. 1939.
Trained: Victoria, B.C.; Debert, N.S.
Served: Went overseas in 1941.

Family: Parents - Charles William and Sarah Murfitt of Bakersfield, California, USA, 2 sisters in England, Friend Frank Checketts, RR #2, Tavistock, had been a friend for many years, both being natives of England and coming to Canada when young men.
