Trained: December 16th 1915 -left for London where trained for a Lieutenant for overseas service; February 17th 1916 - Lt. A.E. Hahn and George Shibley appointed Local Recruiting Officers of the 168th Oxford Battalion C.E.F.; April 6th 1916- Lt. Hahn a Lieutenant in the 168th Battalion; January 1919- he took out a Commission in the Flying Corp and flew over enemy lines on different occasions, but fortunately was never hit by enemy fire.
After the War: April 10th 1919 - accepted a position with his former employer, The Standard Bank of Canada, and left for Calgary, Alberta
