Comments: Carl worked at the Kennedy munitions plant in Owen Sound as a crane operator, pouring hot metal to make 18-foot propellers for large ships. He served in the artillery upon enlistment. He was wounded by a German sniper, being hit in the hand and knee and sent to England to Canadian #24 Hospital for recovery and then shipped home. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 59 years and served as a member of Tavistock Legion #518 and member of the colour party for many years.
