Woodstock Street North, Tavistock - 1922

One of the series of postcards with the inscription "Printed in Saxony" on the address side (published by Rumsey/printed by Roeder in Germany) produced in 1922. The “Printed in Saxony” set of postcards published in 1922 by Rumsey and Co of Toronto includes views of the GTR station, the Carnegie Library, Hope Street East Looking East, the Centre of town, the remains of the burned-down mill, and looking north up Woodstock Street North (this one).

On the back of the postcard, Walter writes to his friend Arthur in New York: “This is the place for a vacation. Plenty of work, plenty to eat, plenty of…but no girls!”
